Yamaha Rhino Long Travel Suspension

With a long travel suspension it is always a good idea to use these Yamaha Rhino gusset plates from Lonestar Racing to brace up your chassis. The front gusset plate mounts behind the front bumper and supports the chassis, a-arms, and the front differential from flexing.

The F8 iShocks for the Yamaha Rhino offers the best of the F-18 iShock, but at a more affordable price. The F8 iShock offers increased wheel travel, a built in reservoir, adjustable rebound damping, 16mm body a hard chromoly shaft and adjustable compression damping.

Lonestar Racing’s Yamaha Rhino Long Travel Suspension gives a 6.5” wider stance per side and lengthens the wheelbase 4″ overall, moving the front 2” forward, and the rear 2” back.
The system is set at 6 degrees of castor for ultimate steering control at high speed. The kit provides for an awesome 15.5” of rear wheel travel, 14.25” front wheel travel. The control arms feature grease-able, and rebuild-able pivots on chassis side with high performance Delron bushings and rebuildable uni-ball pivots on spindle side. It uses 5/8” hi-misalignment tie-rod ends, with chromoly tie-rod extentions. The Delron steering stops to prevent damage to CV joints at full steering turn. The arms are TIG welded from large diameter certified 4130 alloy tubing and the tabs are precision laser cut from certified 4130 alloy steel plate. This system is fully engineered using 3D CAD modeling and analysis. The system also features front shock towers for optimum shock location. The system is backed with a lifetime waranty. Sets manufactured after January 2007 will fit the OEM wheels on the front. To use the OEM wheels on the rear, a wheel spacer is required. However, all aftermaket 12″ 5+2 offset wheels will fit front, and rear with no spacers. Some minor fender trimming is required.

Fabtech broke into the Side x Side market with their high end Yamaha Rhino Long Travel suspension system. Designed as a complete system, the front and rear control arms feature 1.25 OD .120 wall 4130 Chromoly tubing with dimple die gusset plates for unsurpassed strength.

High Travel Control Arms mount to the frame via graphite impregnated Delrin bushings. Front upper arms utilize 3/4″ teflon lined heim ends with lowers receiving 7/8″ uniballs for an unrestricted 13″ of usable wheel travel. Working in conjunction with the wider track width and travel, Fabtech includes steering rod extensions with 1/2″ heim ends. This system is available with replacement 4340 heat treated axle shafts or with complete CV axle assemblies.

At the heart of this system is Fabtech’s Dirt Logic 2.0 Reservoir Coilover shock. These shocks contain components from Fabtech’s race shock line for maximum durability. Extensive ride work was performed to dial in the shock valving for aggressive high speed offroad driving while still providing comfortable low speed ride for cruising around campsites and pits.
